Bean Pie is originally an African American Muslims tradition. Bean pies are made out of Navy bean, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, and other spices. The Bean Pie was originally processed from Brooklyn, New York. They consider Bean Pie as an Eastern dish made in 1930s. Navy Beans are originally from Peru, Bean Pie was made to replace sweet potato pie. Some say that Bean Pie is better than Punkin Pie. Such celebrities as Queen Latifah liked Bean Pie much better than anyother pies in America.
The selling of Bean Pies in some inner cities cleaned the block out. Instead of people buying drugs and other substances they bought Bean Pies instead. Bean Pies started as a family business thing for Muslims in New York City. A fun fact about Bean Pies is that its apart of an African American Muslim story. The African American Muslim also created Bean Soup around the same time as Bean Pie. Women took M.G.T (Muslims Girls Training) which helps women learn to clean, cook among other things.
