Happy New Year 2025!!!

Blog/Article #1

On New Year Eve, me, my mom, my brother and my mom’s friend all ate some pizza and wings. Then we all went downstairs and sat under the table and ate grapes. You're probably wondering why we did that. Me and my mom saw on social media that if you eat 12 grapes under a table you’ll have an amazing new year. Towards the end of the break me and Ty just chilled the rest of the break.

For my Christmas break, I stayed at my sisters house in Cleveland Ohio. On Christmas day we went to a couple parties and also went shopping.
On New years day January 1st, I went bowling and got drinks with my sister and our friends.I was very happy that I got to bring in the new year with my closest friends.

I want to start off by saying happy New Year’s! But Did you know that January 1st isn't the original New Year’s date? The original New Year’s date is March 25th and it changed because Numa “revised” the Roman republican calendar. That's when March was replaced with January. All of that took place on January 1st, 1752.

Beginning of the new year always comes with promises and resolutions. Some people would say that the new year is a good year to change and do better. But when it comes to 2 weeks later they are still doing the same and wont do anything to change how they were last year. For example people say they are going to go to the gym and don't end up going to the gym. Another one is people say they are going to change and stop drinking but end up not changing. In Conclusion the new year is not always the only time to start new or do better.

On December the 16th I interviewed Mrs. Dana. Her favorite part of Christmas was shopping, giving gifts and spending time with her family. Also she loves decorating her Christmas tree. Mrs. Dana loves getting up early so she can see her kids open their presents. They spend the day together and eat dinner. Dana is cooking ham, greens, potatoes, pies and homemade mac & cheese. Oh my god, she said deviled eggs, “ohh how much I love deviled eggs”.
I actually saw Mrs Dana Christmas shopping with her family. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
